Like the seagull whose name it bears (Kaioa means “seagull” in Basque),
at villa Kaioa, you live with the ocean.
It is impossible not to relax and feel at ease with each passing moment.
You will never get tired of the view. Laughing and singing in the sun, the ocean, driven by the wind, can also be stormy, noisy, and majestic.

“The villa Kaioa is situated in a site of outstanding beauty with a magnificent view.  And the view is important; it shakes off the notion of limits and takes you as far as the eye can see.  As soon as you open the shutters in the morning, you feel soothed; you feel the weight falling from your shoulders.”

Kaioa is away from the madding crowd – your only neighbours are the sea and the vegetation, but just a short walk away is the beach or the village centre.

Kaioa, means « seagull » in the Basque language.  For me it is the symbol of liberty and protection (the nest).  It is the home from where you can explore all the possibilities since it will be there to welcome you when you return. »

From morning to night, at anytime, you are in contact with the ocean.

Enjoy breakfast looking out over the ocean. The sun starts to get hot – the holiday is full of promise… untill the night, in the distance, the twinkling lights of Biarritz bear witness to the bustling night life.

Kaioa, you live to the rhythms of the tide and ocean.

Fancy a swim? Games on the beach? Just a few minutes’ walk down the coastal path and you are on the beach.

If you like walking, take the cliff path to Biarritz, go past the gorse bushes and look out over the ocean as far as the eye can see. For a longer walk, the coastal path leaves from Erretegia beach, runs alongside the villa and goes through the seaside villages to Hendaye.
Are you a surfer? You are in the best place to see when the surf is up. Still a beginner? Then have some lessons at one of the Bidart surfing schools.
